Schon als 17-Jähriger entscheidet sich JIM STAPLEY für den Rock´n´Roll-Traum.
Er fährt lieber vom heimischen Manchester nach London um mit ein Jahrzehnt älteren Musikern zu proben, als regelmäßig die Schulbank zu drücken.

Schnell wird JIM in London eine feste Größe, in den "Borderline"-Club muss er als Minderjähriger sogar reingeschmuggelt werden, obwohl er Sänger der Residency-Band ist.
JIM spielt in diversen Gruppen, entscheidet sich jedoch nach einer Weile, komplett auf eigenen Füßen zu stehen und seine Solokarriere voranzutreiben.
Er tritt in L.A., New York, Atlanta, Norwegen, Italien und auch Deutschland auf. Jetzt liegt sein herausragendes neues Album "Long Time Coming" vor.
STAPLEY vereint darauf Classic Rock und große Balladen mit Soul und einer unglaublichen Leidenschaft (testet z.B. den Gänsehautgaranten ´Hurricane´, das mitreißende ´Made Of Stone´ mit seinen Gospel-Backings oder das wirklich herzerweichende ´My Own Worst Enemy´).
Produziert wurde "Long Time Coming" von niemand Geringerem als Tony Visconti, der die Arbeit mit Jim direkt nach dem Abschluss seiner Tätigkeit für David Bowies Nummer-eins-Album "The Next Day" begann.

Born in Manchester, moving to London and joining a rock band at 17 years old, his music reflects the rock, soul, country and blues influences that filled his life and moulded him as an artist and performer.
