Mordkaul veröffentlichen neuen Track "Crown Of Worms"
Belgian Melodic Death metal band MORDKAUL released “Crown Of Worms”, the second single from the upcoming album “Feeding The Machine – Part 1”.
“Crown Of Worms” is the opening track of “Feeding The Machine”.
The influences on “Feeding The Machine – Part 1” are a bit more diverse than on the debut album “Dress Code: Blood” but “Crown Of Worms” might be closest to the 90’s Swedish death metal feel that was clearly present on the debut album. “Crown Of Worms” starts with a swelling intro before turning into a true moshpit rager. Just like the first track that was released earlier, “For I Am Machine”, expect aggressive dual vocals, highly energetic drums and a groovy mid part with shredding solos.
About the lyrics, Mordkaul says: “We tend to admire and follow those who lack moral qualities. Misled by appearance and words, we idolize those who eventually lead us to our demise. It seems to be ingrained in human nature that we choose to be misguided by those who corrupt and feed on our soul.”
Feeding The Machine - Part 1 was recorded at the end of Summer 2022 at Project Zero studio by Yarne Heylen. Just like with Dress Code: Blood, mixing and mastering was done by Dan Swanö. Release of the album is planned on February 16th 2023.

About the band
A dark and evil mood, an infernal drive, and incendiary vocals on top is how MORDKAUL likes to forge their killer songs.
The members of this Belgium based band share a mutual passion for melodic death metal, and with the splitting up of their former bands Diablo Blvd and Hell City, they finalized the tracks Tim Bekaert started writing a few years back.
In May 2020, MORDKAUL’s debut album Dress Code: Blood was recorded by Tommy Goffin (ex-Hell City) vocals, Tim Bekaert (exDiablo Blvd, ex-A Brand) and Vincent Noben (ex-Hell City) guitars and Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, The Haunted,...) drums. Mixing and mastering of the album was done done by Dan Swano (Opeth, Bloodbath…). Soon after the recording, Jan Rammeloo (ex-Bliksem, Furia, Your Highness) and Tony Van den Eynde (exLeng Tch’e) joined forces. Dress Code: Blood was released in January 2021 on Wormholedeath Records.
After the release several successful and sold out shows where played to promote the debut album, ending in the summer of ‘22 with a killer and critically acclaimed performance at Alcatraz Festival (BE).
At the end of the summer ’22, Mordkaul went back to the studio to record their follow up album: Feeding The Machine.
