DEREK SHERINIAN spielt in JOE SATRIANI’S Band diesen Sommer.
Keyboard Virtuose Derek Sherinian wird diesen Sommer Joe Sariani’s Band für zwei Shows begleiten, am 01. Juli im Jones Beach Amphitheater und 02. Juli im Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Die Band besteht außerdem aus Kenny Aronoff am Schlagzeug und Mark Menghi am Bass.
“I am honored to have been personally invited by Joe play these shows with him, sagt Sherinian. “He is one of the greats, and I knew I was destined to play with him sooner or later.”
Sherinian wurde außerdem kürzlich als “Best Keyboardist” in Japan’s BURRN! Magazin 2022 Leser-Poll gewählt. Derek wurde auch gewählt als “Greatest Keyboardist of the 21st Century” und #8 “Greatest of All Time” von MusicRadar.com, und ist auf Platz #9 “Greatest of All Time” im PROG Magazine.
Sherinian prägt durch seine Vielseitigkeit und seinen aggressiven "gitarristischen" Ansatz seinen charakteristischen Keyboard-Stil.
MusicRadar.com sind der Meinung, "His virtuoso playing has seen him dubbed the keyboard-playing version of Eddie Van Halen." David Coverdale sagt “Derek plays the Hammond organ like the son of Jon Lord.”
Seine Karriere startet er mit Alice Cooper 1989 auf der “Trashes the World” Worldtour, Sherinian setzte das Touren fort und nahm mit KISS, Dream Theater, Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Idol und Whitesnake auf. Er hat neun Soloalben veröffentlicht und ist der Mitbegründer von Planet X, Sons of Apollo, und der Supergroup Black Country Communion (featuring Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes, und Jason Bonham), die in diesem Sommer ein neues Album aufnehmen werden.
Außerdem erscheint ein Sherinian/Phillips Livealbum mit Schlagzeug Legende Simon Phillips im Herbst auf InsideOut/Sony Music.

Jarvis Leatherby (Vocals / Bass) sagt: "'Beyond the Grave' marks a pivotal moment in the 'OUTSIDER' album. It's an ode to waging war and making peace with our own alter egos.

Debüt-Album, 'The Burden Ov Faith', weltweit erschienen
Am Freitag erschien das Debütalbum "The Burden Ov Faith" der Blackened-Deathcore-Band Ov Sulfur über Century Media Records. Chase Wilson kommentiert: "Having Howard hop on the album version of 'Wide Open' was the best thing that could have happened. We knew we wanted the song on the album, but we also knew it needed new life to live alongside the rest of the songs and not just be tossed on there. It's crazy to us he wanted to work with us - less surprising is the fact he absolutely killed it. We just gave him the song and lyrics, and we let him do his thing. He really pushes the song to another level with both his screaming and singing. What a legend!"

Vomit Forth kommentieren: "This song is about dealing with the trauma of existing in the modern world.
