PSYCHOTIC WALTZ - Neuauflage des Backkatalogs
Nachdem sie 2020 ihr fünftes Studioalbum "The God-Shaped Void" erfolgreich über InsideOutMusic veröffentlicht haben, machen die US-Progressive-Metal-Pioniere und Innovatoren PSYCHOTIC WALTZ nun endlich auch ihren gesamten hochkarätigen Katalog auf LP/CD-Formaten weltweit über das Label wieder verfügbar.
Die klassischen ersten vier Alben der Band - "A Social Grace" (1990), "Into The Everflow" (1992), "Mosquito" (1994, jetzt mit neuem Artwork von Travis Smith) und "Bleeding" (1996) - werden in zwei Phasen als 2CD Digipaks neu gemastert von Patrick W. Engel / Temple Of Disharmony mit jeder Menge seltenem oder bisher unveröffentlichtem Bonusmaterial sowie erweiterten Layouts erhältlich sein.
Die Alben werden zusätzlich als Ltd. Gatefold-LP-Editionen auf 180g-Vinyl neu aufgelegt.
Eine zusätzliche Demo-Raritäten-Zusammenstellung (mit einem Teil des Bonusmaterials) mit dem Titel "To Chase The Stars (Demos 1987 - 1989)" wird ebenfalls als Ltd. Gatefold 2LP-Edition erhältlich sein, was diese Re-Issue-Kampagne zu einem interessanten und spannenden Projekt macht, sowohl für langjährige Kenner der Band als auch für Neueinsteiger in die ständig wachsende progressive Musikgemeinde.

Das letzte und immer noch aktuelle PSYCHOTIC WALTZ-Album "The God-Shaped Void" war das erste neue Album der Band seit 23 Jahren und schaffte es bei seiner Veröffentlichung 2020 in folgenden Ländern in die offiziellen Verkaufscharts: Deutschland: # 9, Schweiz: # 8, Österreich: # 26.
Geschrieben und aufgenommen wurde "The God-Shaped Void" in kompletter Originalbesetzung. Die Basistracks wurden mit dem Tontechniker Ulrich Wild in der Heimatstadt der Band in San Diego aufgenommen, der Rest der Aufnahmen fand im Studio D in Österreich statt und schließlich wurde das Material von Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Fates Warning) in den Fascination Street Studios in Schweden abgemischt und gemastert. Das Artwork des Albums wurde vom langjährigen visuellen Partner Travis Smith (Katatonia, Riverside, Nevermore) erstellt.
