Die Band kommentiert: "Sitting at fourth place on the album, *Letter to Sandrine* offers insight into how the project composes. Part free-from, part music with changing parts and part composition. We filmed the music video at Carmaux (Fr), in an abandoned coal factory in March 2024."

Sofort drehen die Kindsköpfe Skalen und Phrasen auf den Kopf, schmeißen Tonarten durcheinander und gniedeln herum, bis einer „Prog zwo drei" schreit und alle wissen, was gemeint ist. Weil sie Zappa gehört haben und Emerson Lake & Palmer. Und Magma, King Crimson und Gong von ihren Eltern kennen. Music For Broken Elevators ist so eine Session, von der Band selbst in Form gebracht und psychedelisch aufgeblasen..."

It's been just under two years now that !GeRald! released their debut album The Lost Tapes (May 2022), and over the course of that period the young ensemble has toured some 50 concerts throughout Europe - particularly Germany. The French/English project is now back on the scene with Music for Broken Elevators, a short but consistent mini-album due on May 31st 2024. New material is already being worked upon for the future and the public will probably see the next full album appear sometime in early 2025. The 4 musicians and 1 Projectionist that constitute !GeRald! are profuse in Creativity.

This album offers new insight into the world of !GeRald! Perhaps things are a little more concise and to the point, but certainly not synthetic. New elements have appeared, voices are present, and even a homage of the much adored track Atmosphere by Joy Division. Hints of Post-Punk and World Music have found their way into the hybrid post progressive sounds of !GeRald! This album shows an aptitude to shed skin wihout losing the initial essence and desire to push back boundaries.
