The song "Ace In The Hole" is among the 10 songs on the upcoming studio album that will be released in October.
Bassist Morten Gasöline explains:
“Ace In The Hole is a rock and roll banger. Simple as that. Tons of energy, groove, a mix of old school playing style and our modern twists. It’s wide-legged rock and roll, as always. Even more drive, energy, and sweat than before".
The single is now released on all digital platforms.
The upcoming album will be released on LP, CD, cassette and digitally. Customers who have bought the first two albums, will receive a VIP invite to order the upcoming album before everyone else.
Here is what to expect from the upcoming album:
"It is pure middle-finger rock – a clear counterpoint to all the overpolished and autotuned stuff we’re constantly bombarded with across most mainstream channels today. We just plugged in, cranked the amps and played rock and roll how it is supposed to be played. Expect even more energy throughout the entire album than before. This is my "angry album" with a kick in nuts to everyone who has deserved it".
As part of recording our third studio album, we also had a blast playing around with some cover songs, which will be released both before and after the album drops this fall. "Rock And Roll Is Dead" by The Rubinoos and "Let’s Go" by Eddie Meduza awere released in July and August. One more cover song will be released before the end of the year.
The music was mixed by Max Dahlby at Tilt Recording Studios and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Rorysound Studios.
The Gasölines on this recording are:
• Sindre Støle – vocals
• Morten Nilsen – bass
• Thomas Hansen – guitars
• (Thomas “Bolverk” Hansen stepped in on guitars for the recording sessions)
• Andreas Pettersen – drums
Do you love:
1950s rock’n’roll and rockabilly?
1960s garage rock and early punk?
1970s rock, punk, and heavy metal?
1980s speed, thrash, and metal?
The 1990s rediscovery of it all?
Of course you do.
The Gasölines are a celebration of all of it – pumped straight into the 2020s.
This is music from a time when rock and roll was all about rhythm, blues, fun, and rebellion. A time when music gave the younger generation their own identity and voice – in contrast to the conservative and boring lives of their parents.
Today, we’re constantly surrounded by voices telling us what not to do, what not to eat, not to drink, not to drive, how not to look. One of the few things the moralists will applaud you for doing is riding a bike. And sure – that’s cool enough, if you’re lucky enough to own a vintage DBS Apache or DBS Tomahawk.
Break the rules. Explore new ideas. Break free from routines. Accept opinions that aren’t your own. Ask questions. Have fun. Pedal to the metal. Long live rock and roll.
This is why you need The Gasölines.
High-octane rock.
