Satan Takes A Holiday release new single Gettin’ Away with Murder — featuring Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, Death Breath)
Sweden’s high-voltage rock outfit Satan Takes A Holiday return with a brand-new single, Gettin’ Away with Murder — a scorching reinterpretation of a forgotten gem by Australian glam rock band Baby Grande, active between 1975–1977. With their signature fusion of garage grit, punk urgency, and heavy grooves, the band breathes new life into this obscure track, transforming it into something raw, magnetic, and undeniably their own.
Adding to the firepower is none other than Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, Death Breath, Entombed), who delivers a blistering guest guitar solo — a stamp of rock’n’roll authority that makes the track impossible to ignore. The band shares the story behind the cover:
“We're all life long crate-diggers and once in a while you come across something as special as Australia’s Baby Grande and this lost banger. To be able to do it justice we reached out to the biggest connoisseur of lost rock gems we know, Nicke Andersson (the Hellacopters, Entombed etc). His reply was swift and enthusiastic and within 24 hours the song was completed by a blistering guitar solo — so undeniably Nick Royale — and we couldn’t be happier with the result.”
Gettin’ Away with Murder follows the band’s bold take on You’re the One That I Want and marks the next glimpse of their upcoming covers album Covering Our Tracks, due in 2026.

Satan Takes A Holiday unterschreiben bei Icons Creating Evil Art und kündigen ein neues Album für 2026 mit einer neuen Single an; eine mutige Interpretation des Klassikers "You’re the One That I Want".
Der Track war im letzten Jahr ein fester Bestandteil ihrer Live-Sets und wurde schnell zum Liebling der Fans. Das Video ist der erste Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes Cover-Album "Covering Our Tracks" – ihr siebtes Album in voller Länge, das später in diesem Jahr erscheinen soll.
Leadsänger Fred erzählt die ungewöhnliche Entstehung des Covers: "Der Song schwirrte mir schon seit Jahren im Kopf herum, in einer Version, die ich drastisch verlangsamt hatte, um all die Sehnsucht und den Schmerz aus Text und Melodie herauszupressen. Erst als mir jemand beim Soundcheck scherzhaft vorschlug die Nummer zu covern, kam ich auf die Idee, ihn der Band vorzustellen. Seit etwa einem Jahr ist er nun Teil unseres Live-Sets und hat sich schnell zu einem unserer Lieblingsstücke und des Publikums entwickelt."
Mit ihrer charakteristischen Mischung aus 60er-Jahre-Garage, 70er-Jahre-Groove, Punk-Attitüde und einem Hauch von Dark Pop verwandeln Satan Takes A Holiday den legendären Track in etwas ganz Eigenes – hypnotisch, heavy und unbestreitbar süchtig machend.
