DAN SWANÖ – Wiederveröffentlichung von “Moontower”
As part of the “Fourth Chapter” of the comprehensive catalogue re-issue campaign for Dan Swanö fronted Death Metallers EDGE OF SANITY and Prog/Hardrock outfit NIGHTINGALE, the time is now also come to re-issue a definitive version of the first solo by the Swedish vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and acclaimed metal producer (Opeth, Katatonia, Dissection, etc.).
Originally released in 1999 to much acclaim due to its stylistically ground-breaking keyboard-oriented, atmospheric and 70’s rock inspired Death Metal, “Moontower (Re-issue)” will be out on March 6th, 2026 via Century Media Records and InsideOutMusic worldwide.
Next to a careful full remastering treatment by Dan Swanö himself, “Moontower (Re-issue)” comes with plenty of bonus material (several demos and two cover versions) in the following formats:

Dan Swanö checked in with the following comment about “Uncreation” as follows: “On almost every album I have been a part of there’s always been that one track where everything fell into place. The song I can not listen to it without getting that powerful rush that I believe is what keeps a composer chasing the sonic dragon. And on the “Moontower” album, it’s definitely “Uncreation”. The birth of “Uncreation” was complicated. It died and was brought back to life and in the end, it turned out to be the best song I ever wrote with growling vocals. I tried to make it as catchy as possible yet still keeping that rather unique “Moontower vibe” going. I was always a sucker for a well-crafted pop song, and I wanted to pay my respect to the magic of a key change in just the right moment, not once, but twice in this track. The guitar solo section, in its pomp meets progressive rock style in 7/8 is my favourite part on the “Moontower” album. Every note is carefully chosen and performed over and over until I got to exactly where I wanted it to be!”
The final “Fourth Chapter” of the re-issue campaign most recently launched fully remastered re-issues of EDGE OF SANITY’s “Unorthodox” (Out on Century Media Records) as well as NIGHTINGALE’s “White Darkness” (Out on InsideOutMusic) in December.
