Formed in Ventura, California in the early 1970s, CIRITH UNGOL is a band with a remarkable story, creating a unique and original sound. From the eccentric and mysterious debut album "Frost And Fire", to the heavier and darker "King Of The Dead" and "One Foot In Hell", CIRITH UNGOL's music and lyrical themes offered to the world epic, apocalyptic and doom-filled music. In 1991, CIRITH UNGOL released "Paradise Lost", an album that became a fan-favourite over the years, but led them to oblivion and they disbanded a year later.
The myth was getting stronger, the demand was getting bigger, the passion started taking over. In 2015, CIRITH UNGOL reunited, offering to the world the live shows they were waiting for! It was a dream come true for many fans. More than that, the band also recorded two more albums, "Forever Black" in 2015 and "Dark Parade" in 2023, expanding their legacy and getting the recognition they deserved. Not only in the underground metal scene, as the leaders and founders of cult, arcane and obscure metal, but in Heavy Metal in general. In 2024, it was announced that CIRITH UNGOL would perform their last shows, but two years later, the beast could not rest and the fire still burns.
"All the Shadows" is a classic CIRITH UNGOL album in every sense of the word. Furthermore, it is not an exaggeration that this album is one of the band's strongest efforts ever! Few bands can claim that they recorded a record equal to their older, established and classic albums, and even fewer can support a solid statement that a new album after decades can look in the eyes, or even top, their classic albums. CIRITH UNGOL actually did it. This album was the culmination of their desire to keep forging their unique brand of true metal.
