Canadian progressive rock duo Crown Lands present ‘Through The Looking Glass – Live at Chalet’
Canadian progressive rock duo Crown Lands released their latest acclaimed album ‘Apocalypse’ in May of this year, and with the band gearing up for a Canadian headline tour, they entered Chalet Studios to perform some tracks from the album live.

Watch the band perform ‘Through The Looking Glass’ live here: https://youtu.be/AUHhAoniz9s

Kevin Comeau comments: “For me, what separates a good band from a great band is what they can do as a live band. When there are no tricks or backing tracks. Just the musicians in the room.

We wanted to capture ourselves as honestly as we could with this live series. I’m very happy with the way that we captured the band at Chalet studio. Chalet is probably my favourite place to be in the entire world. I spend as much time there as I can. In fact, I married my wife there 3 years ago!
It’s always a treat to get in that room with Cody and play as well as we can together. We recorded a few takes of each song and picked the best performance.
Our friend Luke filmed the ordeal, using a bunch of stationary GoPro cameras. I think we ended up with 10 different angles!
I’m thrilled with the way this turned out. It’s a truly honest document of how we sound and how we play at this moment in time. Just two big music nerds playing the best we can, and having fun along the way.”

The band recently walked away with band of the year, album of the year and video of the year at the 2026 DREAMS Awards in Durham, Canada.

Musically and creatively, Apocalypse marks a clear turning point. After completing Rituals entirely in their home studio, the band gained the confidence to take near-total control of the production process. Guitarist/bassist/keyboardist Kevin Comeau explains, “That record gave us the confidence to realize we could make a Crown Lands album in our own space, without a major-label budget or a big, fancy studio.” That confidence carried directly into Apocalypse, with much of the album written and recorded in the same room the band has worked in since 2020. To enhance the album’s most crucial moments, Crown Lands selectively collaborated with producers Nick Raskulinecz and David Bottrill.

The Flower Kings launch new single ‘The Gods Of Rome, Pt. 2’ Second track taken from forthcoming new album ‘HOPE’
Pre-order & stream the single here: https://theflowerkings.lnk.to/HOPE-Album

After more than three decades of pushing the boundaries of progressive rock, The Flower Kings return with the new album, HOPE, due out on the 23rd October, 2026 on InsideOutMusic. The follow-up to 2025’s LOVE, stands as both a celebration of their legacy and a bold artistic statement. The album also finds the band returning to the side-long epic, with tracks clocking in at 18 and 28 minutes.

Now the band are pleased to preview one of those mammoth new tracks, with the release of ‘The Gods of Rome, Part 2’. Listen to the track now here: https://youtu.be/QLHf26U42go

Roine Stolt comments: “This is one of several parts of an epic piece of music that has been swirling around for some years. I reworked bits and wrote some new lyrics that now have the backdrop of ancient Rome - but act more as a metaphor for modern day powerplay. Every nation and every leader/president want to shine and be remembered as the greatest - expansive dreams often tend to implode however.”

Rather than chasing trends or revisiting past glories, the band has crafted a work that comfortably exists between refined musicianship and fearless ambition.
Founding member Roine Stolt explains, “At a certain point in life - you arrive at a place where outside opinions matter less - and the process gravitates towards making an album that YOU yourself would LOVE but would perhaps normally not be viewed as a commercial attempt at all. We, the band - trust YOU, the audience - to be curious and to trust us that we want to bring you a grand glowing adventure.”

Watch the video for ‘In A World of Fools’ here: https://youtu.be/hlRgAYzu1x0

HOPE serves as a timely meditation on a turbulent time in the modern world. Without venturing into overt political commentary, its songs reflect on an era often marked by division and diminishing empathy while ultimately offering a message rooted in hope, acting as a roadmap, how to get there and re-ignite love in our hearts and our society.

Joining Stolt and Larsson once again are Hans Fröberg on vocals, Michael Stolt on bass, and Mirko DeMaio on drums. Supported by heartfelt performances from every member of the band, along with a number of special guests, the resulting album unfolds as a rewarding listening experience that reveals new details with each return. Stolt explains, “Like I said 37 years ago - 'This is the band I will be in for the rest of my days' - but I wouldn't dream of us making one of our finest albums ever in 2026!”

Federico comments: “In the latest year we had the chance of playing it live in some live shows and connecting with so many people both at the shows and online, all of this thanks to this record. We are so happy to celebrate the first anniversary of our debut album releasing a new version of some selected songs. As artists we are always evolving and it felt natural to give a new interpretation of some of the album music, enhancing some of the characteristics of the original versions or completely changing the aesthetic while still retaining the same vibes and feelings. Maybe you will listen to the original versions in a different way after having listened to the new ones!”

Asymmetric Universe will play with Temic & Kingcrow on the 15th October at Slaughter Club in Milan, Italy.

The band’s latest full-length, reflects a refined vision and deeper maturity. “We have grown a lot since , both as artists and as human beings,” says Federico. “We always liked to blend genres… and we believe that now we have reached a clear vision of the balance of these genres.”

The album was mixed by Sebastian Sendon, with Adam “Nolly” Getgood also providing assistance with drum recording, which took place in the UK at Middle Farm Studios.

A Memory And What Came After will be available as a Ltd CD Digipak, Ltd. Blue-Black Marbled LP & as Digital Album. Pre-order now here: https://asymmetricuniverse.lnk.to/AMAWCA-Album
