Coldspell are poised to release their exciting new album. Based in the north of Sweden they were formed in 2005 by guitarist and songwriter Michael Larsson, who was previously with the band R.A.W., a band that recorded two albums in the 90’s with members from Dalton and Kicken (Poodles) on drums. Coldspell blasted onto the scene with their own brand of hard rock and took the world by storm with their “Infinate Stargaze” release (ESM184), a recording that draws influences from a mixture of everything they grew up with from the groove of the 70’s to the choruses and melodies of the 80’s, mixed with the raw and naked excitement of the 90’s, not forgetting the production expertise of the millennium.

Die Entscheidung ist uns nicht leicht gefallen. Die Entwicklung zeichnete sich bereits seit letzten Freitag ab, als ich einen Anruf vom Ordnungsamt erhielt, dass man uns die Genehmigung aufgrund der Anhaltenden Trockenheit und Hitze wegen Brandsicherheit erneut entziehen müsse. (Ich habe aufgrund meines Urlaubs einen Anruf vom Ordnungsbeamten auf der mailbox vorher übersehen, in der er mir bereits informell mitteilte, das der Ortsbürgermeister gegen uns Front machen würde.)
